Whoo Hoo Giveaway!!!!!
I am so lucky!!! I was recently contacted by my friend, Travis Dew, who said she wanted to do a Whoo Hoo giveaway on her blog of blue chickadee!!! How awesome is that! Travis is a super talented photographer who will shoot weddings, family pics, artwork, you name it! I first got to know her years back when I was teaching her little ones when they were 2 year old preschoolers!!!! That was about 8 years ago which is so hard to believe! I stopped teaching when I had little R, but I have loved crossing paths with the families from that wonderful time in my life. If you are anything like me, and totally get sucked into other people's blogs-blog stalker-you will love travis' blog. She's got it. The knack, that is. One snap tells a story....So thank you, thank you Travis for being so kind to photograph my artwork and my family!

Check out her blog and enter by making a comment below the blue chickadee post and WIN a $50 gift certificate towards any blue chickadee item(s)!!!! The drawing will end Sunday, December 19, so hurry and post a comment!!!!

Sea Life
This month has been crazy, wouldn't you agree??!!! Blue Chickadee has been busy, busy painting! Below is a three part "sea life" series I painted for a friend in Florida. Each canvas is 12"X16"

These will hang in her little boy's nursery above the changing table. Isn't her bedding ADORABLE!!! Check this bedding out here. If I had to do it all over again I would do this! I am such a stripe girl!

numbers
This is little r's room. He has some self made art on his side of the room, but the opposing wall was lacking. So in an effort to get him to RECOGNIZE his numbers, I painted his undies and hung them up. The idea was to let him choose which number he wanted to wear while getting ready for school because he is oh so opinionated these days.....
We'll see how it works out:) Lets just say, I think we have a lot of work ahead of us!!!

Serena and Lily Pop Up Shop
This is very uncharacteristic of me to be posting twice within 12 hours, but as I was reading through some blogs this morning I came across this one and thought I would share:) This Pop Up Shop will be happening from December 4-9.

I crave John Robshaw
Ok, so I have been working on this post for weeks now and finally I got it together. Let's just start with the fact that it has been over two weeks since I left for NYC to visit cousin Jane (and Tyler) and their sweet baby Wade and I am just now getting around to blogging about what a fabulous time we had!

I swear, the morning after I got back, I sat down to catch up on all the blogs I had fallen behind on when...blackness was in front of my face. I swear, you have no idea how many times I pressed the on/off button, how many "please, just turn on's" I said, and how many %%&^*( were said following that.
Done.
After dropping my MAC (that's never supposed to break or have any problems) off with the "fix it man," I get an estimate of $900+ to fix-NO THANK YOU!!! So off to the Apple store I went on Black Friday and purchased a new one. Happy + Sad....for obvious reasons.....So....here I am finally figuring out how to make a collage via photoshop and here's what I came up with:

via a bloomsbury life, design sponge, john robshaw, sara gilbane interiors, gilt
So the girlies I was with are always in the know and knew just where all the sample sales were!!! Yay for me, I was in good company! We headed somewhere on the subway to end up in a line for what felt like an hour to squeeze into John Robshaw heaven!
So many great finds + too many people = only a few things.

(This pillow is obviously too big for this chair, it just happened to be to be the tidiest place in the house at the moment:)

(I do have a pair of these pillow covers, but again, avoiding the disaster areas lurking nearby)
I did get a robe too, but I will spare you the photos as well as a great looking tablecloth-impulse buy. It was definitely worth the wait! If you live under a rock and don't know who this fella is, then go look him up! Beautiful textiles!!! So sorry to ramble, a lot to say!
