Tuesday Food Day + 2 minutes

I know, I know.  Y'all are probably sick of hearing me talk about Naan bread, but we are obsessed.  Trader Joe's brand in particular.  I'm talking perfect size for one or to split between two.  It is soft and crisp on the bottom when baked or toasted.  We have made them a million ways but this is what we did last night.  Nothing real fancy but delicious nonetheless.

Tomato Naan Bread

Trader Joe's Whole Wheat Naan Bread
Sliced tomatoes
Parmesan Cheese
Salt + Pepper

As you can see I did not get very creative with my plate styling.  We were starving!!!  I roasted my tomatoes first with salt + pepper + freshly grated Parmesan cheese.  Popped in the oven for about 20 minutes.  Then I took those out and placed the Naan bread in sprinkled with Parmesan cheese for another 4-5 minutes.  Took it out and placed these tomatoes on top!  Voila!!!  It was the perfect accompaniment to the salad we had but no photo to prove it because we inhaled it!

OOOh, also had sauteed kale on the side and discovered the lemon dressing I make for my salads  is delicious on kale.  You will have to try it next time.
1/2 lemon
dash live oil
1 crushed garlic
salt + pepper

Now on to more important matters.  Enter Jealousy caught on film...

This is where the two minutes from the post title comes into play.  Left these guys on the porch for two minutes to "blow bubbles"while I was on the phone with IKEA (because yesterday I forgot to order/pay for a few major items on my list to be delivered to us-how did I do that???)  Anyway, nonsense information that does not pertain to what was happening outside at the same time.   I mean, y'all!???!!!!  What to do with these two???  I promise everything that child (Mr. Big) touches turns into a disaster!!!  Magic Marker up the arms, down the diaper, bubbles in the hair, dog poop on his hands, what else....I could not help but snap a few photos-he was having a ball...until it got in his eyes...a whole other story

Someone in the background is very pleased with himself, don't you think?  Staying perfectly clean and dry.

The end.
 In the tub we went!
I think you can see the purple marker all over his arms in this shot too.
Exhausting boys but already funny to look back and laugh!

Boys will be boys. If it makes you feel better this weekend I turned my back for a minute and sterling had punctured a hole in our bleach and was pouring it everywhere and of course he was in new red keds and a new outfit that was ruined by the bleach! I must try tj naan. Your pizza looks delish! I sautee kale pretty much everyday for lunch w olive oil and balsamic vinegar. So good!!

I made the nan bread (from whole foods) and roasted tomatoes yesterday, after looking through all of the wonderful recipes on your blog...also made sauteed kale....both were AMAZING! This will make a great meal for the kids and me when my husband is traveling and I have spent the afternoon driving all around town (carpools and activities - I am like a full time driver from 2:30-6:30).

When I was at Whole Foods in Buckhead, I looked high and low for the Yarro Valley feta - unfortunately, I don't think my Whole Foods carries it! Bummer, I wanted to use it for the butter bean and feta salad that you posted. I did get another brand of marinated feta, and am serving the salad tonight, probably with flank steak.

Thank you so much for all of the great recipes!

Holly
