numbers

This is little r's room. He has some self made art on his side of the room, but the opposing wall was lacking. So in an effort to get him to RECOGNIZE his numbers, I painted his undies and hung them up. The idea was to let him choose which number he wanted to wear while getting ready for school because he is oh so opinionated these days.....

We'll see how it works out:) Lets just say, I think we have a lot of work ahead of us!!!

Serena and Lily Pop Up Shop

This is very uncharacteristic of me to be posting twice within 12 hours, but as I was reading through some blogs this morning I came across this one and thought I would share:) This Pop Up Shop will be happening from December 4-9.

I crave John Robshaw

Ok, so I have been working on this post for weeks now and finally I got it together. Let's just start with the fact that it has been over two weeks since I left for NYC to visit cousin Jane (and Tyler) and their sweet baby Wade and I am just now getting around to blogging about what a fabulous time we had!

I swear, the morning after I got back, I sat down to catch up on all the blogs I had fallen behind on when...blackness was in front of my face. I swear, you have no idea how many times I pressed the on/off button, how many "please, just turn on's" I said, and how many %%&^*( were said following that.

Done.

After dropping my MAC (that's never supposed to break or have any problems) off with the "fix it man," I get an estimate of $900+ to fix-NO THANK YOU!!! So off to the Apple store I went on Black Friday and purchased a new one. Happy + Sad....for obvious reasons.....So....here I am finally figuring out how to make a collage via photoshop and here's what I came up with:
via a bloomsbury life, design sponge, john robshaw, sara gilbane interiors, gilt

So the girlies I was with are always in the know and knew just where all the sample sales were!!! Yay for me, I was in good company! We headed somewhere on the subway to end up in a line for what felt like an hour to squeeze into John Robshaw heaven!

So many great finds + too many people = only a few things.

(This pillow is obviously too big for this chair, it just happened to be to be the tidiest place in the house at the moment:)

(I do have a pair of these pillow covers, but again, avoiding the disaster areas lurking nearby)

I did get a robe too, but I will spare you the photos as well as a great looking tablecloth-impulse buy. It was definitely worth the wait! If you live under a rock and don't know who this fella is, then go look him up! Beautiful textiles!!! So sorry to ramble, a lot to say!

Mason Market

Sorry for the lack of posts recently!  (For those of you who actually read this-if anybody???)  My goal is to post about something at least each week, but sometimes the days fly by, and still no posts?  Anyway, here are a few pictures from the Mason Market at Mason Prep last week.  Not the best backdrop-what can you do with blank gym walls????
They had a fundraiser with over 40 vendors selling everything under the sun in hopes of raising money for the school.  It was a great event with a huge turnout!  Blue Chickadee participated with El&Ann Designs (formerly Textile. by Margeaux Fraunfelter).  Can you see her ADORABLE dresses hanging from the rack?!!!  I am telling you what, if you are a mother of a little girl or have any reason to buy for a little girl between the ages of 1yr-3yr defintely get one of these cute dresses (only $18 with matching ruffled bloomer for $22) So CUTE!!!!
Here is a close up of what I am talking about.....cute, huh??

And totally unrelated,  I couldn't resist putting in a photo of baby G-he's a penguin if you can't tell.
And Little R-dressed as a forklift driver (not to be confused with a farmer!)  He had a great green John Deere hat but he refused to wear it at this Halloween party:(  Looks like he's pouting here, maybe he wishes he had it on????
Ok, I do have other things I am working on, so I will post more pics soon!!!!

Sugar Snap Pea

Ok, so I know most of you living in Charleston already know about Sugar Snap Pea on King Street, but in case you don't, I thought I would share a few inside pics.
Here is the new sign I made for Zhenya to hang in SSP doorway leading to other goodies...

Blue Chickadee has a few things in there including canvas paintings, bibs, burp cloths, bloomers, boxers, the list goes on.  Below is an elephant painting of blue chickadee's that used to find it's home in baby g's room.

Below is another blue chickadee painting for sale in the shop.  You can purchase as a four part or individually.
If you haven't gone by yet, be sure to stop in soon.  You are sure to find the perfect shower or birthday gift for the little people in your life!

P.S. Also, all you new mommas, you can register there as well, even if you live out of town!

P.S.S. If you spend $200 in one trip (easy) you get a free 30 minute photography session with Carmen Ash!  Some examples of her work are hanging in SSP store or you can go here and check it out online!  Enjoy!

Animal Safari

Here are a few room shots of a nursery with a three part series of "animal safari" blue chickadee paintings.

This is the best part for me!  I never get to see the paintings hung on the wall after they leave my hands. This is one of my favorite nurseries for a little boy!
