Now I lay me down to sleep....

Seriously, if I had to do it all over again, this is what I would do.
Pick one.
 Any one.

Love the look of the barn door behind the crib.  What a statement piece.

Never thought I would use the word elegant for a baby girl's nursery, but don't you think that's a good word for this one above?

This one reminds me of baby G's nursery, that's why I think I like it.  Lots of ooh's and ahh's over the chevron bumper with the orange ties.

This is baby G's nursery above.

This is sweet and simple.
 I like.

And for the big boys and girls...

I'm sorry, but how precious is this idea with the twin beds above?  I love the little step leading up to the beds.

Another awesome idea, but how tall would your ceilings have to be?

Love.
Great idea for a beach house bunk room....

Which one is your favorite?

Ahhh, my loves

Umm, can we say miracle worker?  I can't get enough of these three items below!!!  Bobbi does not disappoint in the eye arena!   I have been using Bare Minerals (which I love) for the last 4 years, but the under eye concealer just wasn't doing it for me.  So after much talk with my girlfriends and hearing that they all love this stuff, I gave it a whirl.
hydrating eye cream

corrector for dark circles or blemishes

concealer/powder combo

For all you baby girl mommas out there, you must check out the latest Rikshaw Designs for the little babes in your life!!!  How can you resist?  Don't you think baby G would look cute in this?  You know I'm kidding!

And this, my friends, is the best $12.99 you will ever spend at Target....

Please excuse the photo but I could not find it anywhere online.  The scent is Bamboo Jasmine-not sure you can picture that smell, but similar to a Daffodil scent.   Pure heaven...go getcha one!!!!!!
and it does make your WHOLE house smell delightful!

What are your loves this week?

Circus Room

I'm loving this room!  How great is it?  I love everything going on in here-stripes, ferris wheel, wooden bed frame, art on the walls..... it makes me happy.

and that ferris wheel would be a big pile of debris if it were to land in our house...can't you picture it?

Side note about my day thus far:

You know the kind of day where everything you touch slips out of your hand?  Went to Whole Foods, put my Nantucket Nectar in the front seat of the buggy and out it slipped and burst into a million tiny pieces of glass.  Great.  I seriously looked around like what was that?  It couldn't have been me, right?  Ughh, so embarrassing and lunch hour too.
Then I head to Artist and Craftsman and pull out a few small canvases from the display and out they all tumble onto the floor.  The whole display. Literally. Loving this.
So, just wondering how this day's gonna end...a few more hours left for some fun times....I'll keep you posted should anything earth shattering happen.....

Shades

I need help!

These lamps have been sitting on my dining room table since I brought them home over a month ago.  I have GOT to take them to be rewired and get shades for them.  Will you please tell me what style shade would look best with these???!!!!

Next up, where to put these beauties?
I'm thinking maybe our bedside tables for this pair below???  Although they may be too big...

And here are a few blue chickadee things I have been painting recently.  This alligator is painted on a 48" long canvas, so I turned it into a growth chart.

This series will go in a baby boy's nursery in Beaufort.  I hope his momma likes them:)

Talipot Palm

You know I am obsessed with this color.

You may remember my post about my chevron walls in my foyer.

And now my front door.

And a chair.  Make that two chairs....where else can i put this delightful color???

I came across this picture on the style-files the other day and they reminded me so much of my above chair.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a room like this, with a table like this, and 10 chairs like this?

Block Prints

Just the other night, I went to a great little art show down on Cannon Street and came across a new favorite artist of mine!  Stacy, of PerlaAnne, has quite nicely developed her own style of block printing.      I just love the simplistic nature of these prints.    I bought a few of her prints and man they are reasonable!   Especially after comparing similar prints to the ones of Hugo Guiness (thank you E Pope)...his framed works go for upwards of $1,000.  You should check out her shop on ETSY....

Now these below are PerlaAnne...don't you like???

A gallery wall of Stacy's work hangs above.  Cool when all hung together, don't you think?!

I bought this above octopus in a gray ink to go with a gray jellyfish print she did as well.

Guess how much?

$20

I do love this wallpaper too...

I got this print of the bike for Little R's 4th birthday!  He is obsessed with the "Torquer!"

Trashcan Update

So my friend, Sidney over at Eclectic Interior Design Group, contacted me about giving an old Marshall's find an updated look for her new office.  The above picture is what she started with.

She then gave it a solid green paint job and brought it to me with the idea of doing some sort of design on the front like a greek key.

And voila.....

(to be used as a trash can)
I can't wait to see it in her new office!

On a side note,  last week I was scrolling through my favorite blogs and came across Sissy's post at Blue Hydrangea with  a link to a similar project.
Take a look...

This is a DIY from Everything LEB.  She is crazy talented.  She also has a DIY for trays that I want to give a whirl.

Can you believe she painted these two above designs on these old TJ clearance trays!!!!  She just had glass cut to fit to protect the paint!!!  I think she's on to something!

Tuesday Red Day

I thought I would share with you a few images that caught my eye this morning.

 via
love the above chairs mixed in with an all white pallet.

 via
Loving these stools and pendant lights again in an all white kitchen.

 via
I'm starting to see a trend here.  All white/neutral color background makes for the perfect backdrop to make your reds really pop!  And don't you love this table skirt??!  This would be a good DIY with some paint or ribbon!

unknown

Would love to do this to a chair in my house.  What a fun way to liven up a stripe!!!

As much as I love neutrals, I do have a thing for red.  If you have been to my house you would know that I have a red kitchen, red ceiling in my dining room and a red guest bathroom.  Here are some photos  below:

Here is a shot of the kitchen trying to crop out the absolute disaster going on in the there at the moment.  The red I have used here is the same used on the table below, dining room ceiling, and bathroom.

anyone else feel my pain with an oversize tv as the focal point in you LR??? what can i do about this??? horrible...

DIY painted red table and burlap skirted table thanks to my always faithful seamstress, Margeaux.  Check out her new blog!  I LOVE it!

Horrible exposure in this photo but you get the idea of the red ceiling.

Another not so good shot of the bath.  I'm telling you we need more light in this house people!!!!

And this bugaboo is 10 months today!!!! He doesn't look happy about this and neither is his momma:(
